Texas Education Freedom Accounts

Texas Education Freedom Accounts are a state program. The state grants funds into an account for an eligible child, allowing the family to spend the funding on approved educational services, including tuition. Zach is an approved vendor.

TEFA grants are not awarded on a first-come first-served basis. Funding is awarded based on eligibility and family household income needs. In the case that a surplus of families apply for funding, awards will be allocated on a lottery system, first prioritizing students with disabilities and/or families at or below the 500% Federal Poverty Line.

Log in to your Odyssey account, search for Zach in the Odyssey Marketplace, select your student's program, and submit payment. Then email [email protected] so we can update your account.

For TEFA account, eligibility, or application questions, contact Odyssey's support team. For questions about paying Zach or enrolling in a program, email [email protected].

Visit educationfreedom.texas.gov to check eligibility and the current application window. You can join the TEFA Interest List to receive updates on application windows/deadlines and other new information.
